Education Core Documents Task Force

In 2018, AAM directed EdCom to establish a Task Force to explore the need for, and potential components of, an education-related core document for AAM's Continuum of Excellence (the current core documents are the mission statement, institutional code of ethics, strategic institutional plan, disaster preparedness and emergency response plan, and collections management policy).To date, the Task Force has executed a field-wide survey, collected sample documents, and conducted a literature review. In this discussion, members of the Task Force, will seek audience feedback and share the findings of the survey, the analysis of the sample documents collected, and the proposed recommendations to AAM. At the conclusion of this session, participants will: 1. Understand the purpose of the AAM EdCom Task Force; 2. Contribute to shaping the recommendations the Task Force presents to AAM; 3. Have insight and information to better craft an education document for their organization.
